「つくる」をコンセプトにはじまった革製品ブランドURUKUST（ウルクスト）。今までにない新しいデザインを作り出す.URUKUSTが、レザークラフト初心者でも作りやすいよう、できるだけ扱いやすい工具を使い、できるだけシンプルな構造と行程で作品を提案する初めての著書です。掲載アイテムは、カードケース、コインケースなど小物からバッグまで、普段使いで楽しめる24作品。型紙の作り方から革の裁断、手縫いの方法、金具の付け方まで革小物づくりに必要なプロセスも詳しく紹介しています。使い込むほどに上品な艶と味が楽しめる上質な革で作る、愛着を持って使える作品が満載です。

13歳でレザークラフトを始める。桑沢デザイン研究所でデザインを学び、その後アパレルメーカーでバッグデザイナーとして勤務したのち、2011年.URUKUST設立。国内タンナーと協力して作ったオリジナルの皮革を使用し、革本来の強さを活かし無駄のないシンプルな構造で革製品を作る。その他、女子美術大学プロダクトデザイン専攻非常勤講師、レザークラフト教材の企画デザイン、レザークラフト教室の講師など幅広く活動する。 横浜市在住
