鳥取県生まれ、長野県育ち。大自然の中、幼少より折り紙に親しむ。大学では経済学を専攻。素材メーカーに勤務後、言語学を学ぶために1995年に渡仏。現在はフランス在住で翻訳・通訳の仕事をしながら、折り紙とポップアップの作家としても活動中。新しい言語学の構築がライフワーク。フランス折紙協会（MFPP）会員。
